Bob Kenward

Bob Kenward is an established performer on the Kent folk scene with 30 years experience of writing and performing his own songs to audiences across the South-East of England. Bob takes local news stories and uses them to craft new songs and thus create a permanent record of the history of Kent in song.  He has written songs on such diverse subjects as Chatham Dock Yard, English Apples, Railways, Hops (and beer!), other Kentish Landmarks and even Deal Luggers.   His songs have been sung by many performers far and wide – representing the beauties of the Garden of England to audiences all over the world – from Tunbridge Wells (where he now lives), to the National Library in London and even to the Smithsonian Institute.  To quote Alan Hibbert of Folk In Kent“As a chronicler in song of our county old and new, Bob Kenward is unsurpassed.”
