{"id":807,"date":"2025-08-22T18:30:21","date_gmt":"2025-08-22T17:30:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.dealfolkclub.org.uk\/?post_type=tribe_events&#038;p=807"},"modified":"2026-01-19T19:12:28","modified_gmt":"2026-01-19T19:12:28","slug":"bryony-griffith-alice-jones-tbc","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/www.dealfolkclub.org.uk\/?tribe_events=bryony-griffith-alice-jones-tbc","title":{"rendered":"Bryony Griffith &#038; Alice Jones &#8220;Wesselbobs&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<h5><strong>Welcome back to Deal Folk Club to Bryony Griffith &amp; Alice Jones with their seaonal show &#8220;Wesselbobs&#8221; featuring winter songs &amp; tunes from Yorkshire.<\/strong><\/h5>\n<h5>Both are experienced performers.\u00a0 Alice did a lovely evening for us at Deal Folk Club back on 2019 and was known for adapting Jeff Warner&#8217;s songs and body percussion as well as keyboard playing, while Bryony is known as being a member of harmony trio the Witches of Elswick and also as a duo with partner Will Hampson playing fiddle.\u00a0 Hailing from West Yorkshire, both are long-time purveyors of English folk music, united by a fascination with folk song collections inspired by the local landscape, culture and industry.<\/h5>\n<h5>Alice &amp; Bryony combined forces and have taken the folk scene by storm, doing a lovely duo performance for us in 2024.
