Mother and Daughter duo Cathy Barclay and Sarah Yarwood bring together a love of traditional and contemporary folk music through their close blood harmony singing, occasionally accompanied by the dulcimer. Cathy’s background includes many years performing with folk groups Beggars Velvet and Bryony, while Sarah grew up immersed in the folk scene and began singing at festivals as a teenager. In 2024, they released their first album, ‘Our Thyme’, which features a mix of traditional and newer folk songs. Their performances aim to celebrate the stories and melodies of folk music while sharing their own family journey through song.
